Transmission deal inked

LISTED Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp. and other partners have signed an agreement connecting its Maibarara geothermal power plant to the Luzon grid with the system operator National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the company disclosed to the bourse yesterday. “Maibarara Geothermal, Inc., 25%- owned subsidiary of Trans-Asia, signed a Transmission Service Agreement and a Connection Agreement with the [NGCP] covering the electricity dispatch of the proposed 20-megawatts (MW) Maibarara geothermal power plant,” Trans-Asia said.
