Maibarara Service Contract Area is located on the western foothills of Mt. Makiling, about 70 km Sounth of Manila. Picture below shows the area before rehabilitation.

February 1, 2010 - The Department of Energy awarded the Maibarara Service Contract to PERC’s PetroGreen Energy Corporation  
May 20, 2010 - Joint Venture Agreement to develop and operate MGPP was signed by MGI, Trans-Asia, and PNOC-RC.
August 11, 2010-MGPP was issued an Environmental Compliance Certificate
December 8, 2010- Board of Investments approved PERC as New RE Developer of 20 MW Maibarara Geothermal Power Project under R.A. 9513 or the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 BOI Registration
February 2011- MGI bought in a drilling rig to start the rehabilitation of MGPP’s 3 wells
March 5, 2011 – Successful discharge of the first well, Mai6D
April 14, 2011- Successful Discharge of the second well, Mai-9D
September 2, 2011 -Maibarara Geothermal Inc. (MGI), the joint-venture firm composed of PetroGreen Energy Corp., Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp, and PNOC Renewables Corp, signed with EEI Corporation, its EPC Contract & its Remote Monitoring Agreement with Fuji Electric
September 26, 2011 – Signing Ceremony for the PhP 2.40 Billion Project Loan Facility between MGI, RCBC, & BPI


November 11, 2011 – The Department of Energy confirms Maibarara as RP’s first commercial renewable energy project

 
April 27, 2012 – 20 MW Geothermal Power Project Groundbreaking Ceremony with DOE Usec. Jose M. Layug, Jr. and Sto. Tomas Mayor Renato Federico as special guests
